Onninen Energy Day 2026
For the fifth consecutive year, the energy technology conference and trade fair Energy Day 2026, organised by Onninen Estonia, took place. For the fifth year in a row, we were also honoured to be a co-organiser of the event, which brings together professionals working in energy, technical systems, construction and industry. As last year, the conference and trade fair was held at T1 Venue.
The two stages, “Why?” and “How?”, featured engaging discussions and presentations from both Estonian and international experts. The keynote speaker was renowned Swedish futurist and speaker Stefan Hyttfors, who explored the future of Europe’s energy sector in his presentation.
The conference also featured a panel discussion titled “At the Crossroads of Energy Security: Gas-Fired Power Plants, Nuclear Energy and Security of Supply”, focusing on key questions surrounding Estonia’s energy security, security of supply, and the decisions that will shape our energy future over the coming decades.

The panel discussion and the entire “Why?” stage were moderated by Urmas Vaino, while the “How?” stage was moderated by Andres Torm.
At the trade fair, visitors could explore more than 50 technological solutions from the energy sector from around the world. For several of the exhibitors, Energy Day is the only event of its kind in Estonia where they are represented as a company.
This offered a rare opportunity to discover and compare different solutions and speak directly with the people developing and implementing these technologies.
The Energy Day afterparty took place at Gläm concert venue in Telliskivi, where guests enjoyed dinner and great music by Smilers Duo.
