Emajõe Railway Bridge rafter party
Result
We helped the TREV-2 Group to fulfill its dream – a raft party on the unique Emajõgi railway bridge. The event was covered by several publications.
How did we do it?
The rafter party of the steel structure of the Emajõgi railway bridge caused a lot of excitement for the participants, because the event took place in a more special place than usual. Getting to the party was an adventure in itself, as the river boat Pegasus took guests to the bridge party. However, the surprises did not end on the spot, as the guests were greeted by mimes, air acrobats, delicious food and later Karl-Erik Taukar Band was able to turn their feet.
“The construction of the new arch bridge is the first part of a larger goal, which is to gradually increase the speed of trains on the Tapa-Tartu railway line up to 160 kilometers per hour. The Emajõgi bridge will be a prerequisite for us to be able to straighten the railway in this place and thereby shorten the travel time, ”said Kertu Arumetsa, the head of the construction department of Eesti Raudtee’s facilities.
By 2024, when Tartu is also the capital of culture, trains will move faster, greener and more comfortable for passengers between Tallinn and Tartu.
